Now couple that with a specialization in modern residential architecture, an unmatched talent in clever space planning, and a personality that will make sure your design journey is always fun (just look him up on TikTok!), and you’ll start to see what it could be like to have a home designed by him.

  • Member in good standing of Ontario Association of Architects

  • Master of Architecture (Lawrence Technological University)

  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (Lawrence Technological University)

  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP)

  • Diploma in Architectural Technology (St. Clair College)

Dory Azar, Principal Architect

Dory, our lead designer, has been a licensed architect in Ontario since 2010. His journey began young, working in family construction at 13, gaining hands-on experience. He founded DAAi in 2011, specializing in modern residential projects. When not designing, he enjoys nachos, a good cup of coffee, and attending live concerts.

Melissa Weldon, Project & Office Coordinator

Melissa, or "MelWel," is our 30+ year office veteran, excelling in contracts, accounting, and drawings. She's essential, streamlining processes and supporting Dory, the team, and all project phases at DAAi. With a love for styles, designs, and thrifting, she's an invaluable asset to our success.
